Improvement

Information and Website Design are 2 aspects of improvement stated across 3 websites which are also represented in their respective colors as follows:

    1. Le Turtle Website

      2. Information

      The use of abstract symbols namely the hand, eye, reservation seem to cause much confusion on both home page and the menu itself. The symbols and the intended information to convey to the audience do not correspond. The following would be some suggestions for improvement:

        • State clarity of the purpose of the website that it is a French restaurant. Share the profile and background of the restaurant, its owner or chefs etc.

        • Place the logo in the centre below the menu bar to create a brand identity.

        • Include a search bar at the main webpage, not just in the Instagram.

        • Ensure that the clickability issue is resolved and the audience is directed to the link accurately.

        • Provide clear direction how to get to the restaurant.

        • Update the website on a regular or need basis, not just dependent on Instagram.

          • Website Design

          • Formalise the website by using navigation and menu bar with specific titles to enable consistency and credibility of the information to be conveyed to the audience.

          • Select a few signature dishes and display systematically on the website.

          • Organise the menu into categories such as cheese, meats, sandwiches, salads, soups, desserts, drinks etc corresponding with good images and pricing will provide more clarity to the menu.

          • Use bigger font and relevant images to enhance the website.

          2. Mean Sandwich

            • Provide clearer instruction of the starting point to minimise guessing where to click first.

            • Create a comment or review section for audience to gather wider perspectives of the restaurant.

              • Website Design

              • Adjust and make more space for information display by reducing the space for the navigation/menu bar.

              • Readjust the font size to make it bigger.

              Information

                • Provide contact number on the website and remove the background music.

                • Reorganise the homepage. Position the navigation/menu bar at the top of the homepage. Feature the signature dish below the navigation bar.

                • Correspond the images of the food served.

                • Select the review section carefully. Prioritise the information and display only the pertinent ones.

                • Ensure that the clickability issue is resolved and the audience is directed to the link accurately.
